Lady Gaga is said to never leave the house without wearing one of her 20 wigs. So, theoretically, she should be able to put on a wig in a way that looks more or less good looking. Usually, this seems to work out well, but not everytime. After a long distance flight from the USA to Japan, this wasn’t the case, obviously. The pictures taken upon her arrival in Tokyo show her wearing an expensive handbag, an extravagant dress and in contrst to that, an extremely shoddy wig, which didn’t really fit to her head. Remarkable in this regard was especially the clearly visible hairline of Lady Gaga’s wig.

Having full hair seems to be an essential element of beauty for many males. Sometimes though, men tend to lose their hair slowly until to a point where large parts of their heads remain bald, most often much to their dismay. There may be seversal reasons for male hair loss, although often it can be attributed to alopecia or male pattern baldness. In these cases, the hair is lost in certain patterns or stages, usually beginning on the frontal parts of the head and slowly advancing backwards with time. In later stages, the hair will usually also get thinner at the top of the head, leaving a rim of hair around the sides and rear of the head only. The reasons behind male hair loss are currently only partly known: an androgen hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is said to have adverse effect on the lifetime of the hair follicles if they have a genetic sensitivity to DHT.

A new picture series published by a german newspaper once again proves the fact, that it is not that uncommon for celebrities to wear wigs. For many celebrities, a constantly perfect appearance is part of their image, with a perfect hairdo being an important part thereof. As it can be seen in the pictures to be found in the link provided, celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears or Kristen Stewart seem to like wearing wigs. In some cases though, one might ask himself if the artificial hair used is really compatible to the wearer. Other stars like Brooke Shields like to use party wigs, if used for halloween this often proves to be an essential accessory. By wearing wigs themselves, movie stars like Miley Cyrus also rise the acceptance of wig with younger people. So, for example, Hannah Montana wigs seem to be in high demand at the moment.

Currently, the most famous star using wigs seems to be Lady Gaga. The styles she uses seem to be too many to keep track of them all, ranging from long platinum blonde hair wigs to wigs featuring an extravagant updo. Whatever the choice, she always seems to be ahead of the trend. So you bought a synthetic wig, but after a few days, weeks, or months of use, you find the wig already a little bit dull, and you finally decided to tweak it a bit by trimming it a little to give it some new shape or volume. How about some layers for your wig? One way to trim your synthetic wig is through razor cut. You may want to use fabric scissors instead of the regular scissors for better results. First take your hair and split it in half, drape it over your shoulder, and comb it out. Take a small layer of your hair starting at the top. Unless you are a hair expert, try not to take hair that’s framing your face because if you mix the middle hair with the front ones, they might not blend, and you may not like the result.

Jessica Simpson owns her own label for wigs, as some of you will know. Recently, she revealed pictures showing two wigs of her upcoming haircare range and shared them via Twitter. The short hairdos presented were designed by the famed celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves. One of the wigs showcased is a short haired pixie style wig, the other one short hair as well of what seems to have been inspired by a Victoria Beckham hairstyle, who is also friends with Jessica Simpson.
