How to counter static electrification in wigs

Static electrification is a problem that quite a few owner of wigs made out of synthetic hair will have experienced. If you haven’t, it might look very much alike to what can be seen in this video:


Alright, it might be less drastic in reality, but this can get quite annoying when wearing a wig obviously. Of course, there are measures one can take to counter or eliminate this problem. The solution is as simple as effective: just spray your wig with water lightly and smooth them with your hands to remove the static electricity. Also, you should never brush your wig with a wooden or plastic comb to avoid getting static electricity into your wig in the first place; metal combs should be used instead.
